How to Level Up in Fish World

Posted on: August 18, 2011

Fish World is a popular Facebook application that allows you to manage one or many virtual fish tanks. There are many ways to customize your tanks with decorations, backgrounds, and types of fish. Many people find this game to be almost therapeutic, watching the little fish swim back and forth, while listening to the sounds of a real fish tank. Unlike a real fish tank, you don’t have to get your hands wet and you won’t smell like fish after taking care of your pets.

As with many social networking games, Fish World can be more enjoyable when you get your friends to play along with you. Fish World has recently added some new features that encourage you to get your friends in on the action. For example, you are now able to steal fish from your friend's tanks—after which they have four hours to take their fish back. You can also help your friends with different tasks that will earn you coins and experience points. However, some will still enjoy the game even without friend participation. Fish World has great graphics and a wide selection of fish and tank decorations, so it can still be fun even if you play on your own.

Fish World is a game that requires patience and perseverance if you intend to level up. You must develop a strategy and stick to it. It is easy to become distracted by the different fish and decorations as you start to move up the levels, but if you stick to the steps outlined in this tutorial, you will level up quickly. If you are new to the game, you might want to check out the How to Play Fish World tutorial or Fish World Tips to help you get started.

In this tutorial, we will explain the easiest and quickest way to level up without the use of any cheats or hacks. As we will explain, you will want to purchase several fish tanks and continuously buy and sell the Green Snapper fish after it grows to adulthood. As you continue to do this and you start to accumulate more coins, purchase additional fish tanks so you can buy and sell more Green Snapper. If you stick to this strategy, you will level up very quickly in Fish World. As you level up, you will unlock new types of fish and decorations, so feel free to stop when you get to a level you want. I slowed down once I got to level 30 and I unlocked the Great White Shark.

Step 1: Buy And Sell The Green Snapper

The only way to level up in Fish World is to accumulate experience points (XP) - not coins. Coins are needed to purchase fish and fish tanks, but other than that they will not help you level up. You want to purchase as many Green Snapper as you can without crashing the game. http://www.bukisa.com/articles/153164_how-to-move-up-fast-on-levels-on-facebook-fishworld-fish-world I have found 130 Green Snapper is a good number to put in a tank; any more and you risk serious slowdowns or possible crashing of the game. You may be able to add more, but at least for me the game slows down so much that it becomes difficult to feed and sell your fish once they mature. So fill up your tank with approximately 130 Green Snappers, feed them, and then come back in 4 hours to sell them. After you sell them, purchase 130 more and repeat the cycle.

A recent addition to the game is the help-your-friend feature. If you have friends also playing the game, you will see messages asking you if you would like to help them with their tank. It will ask if you want to clean oil spills, remove fish hooks, or clean garbage out of your friend’s tank. If you do, you will be rewarded with extra coins and XP. The more you do it, the higher the reward gets. This is another good way to accumulate XP in between buying and selling your Green Snapper.

Step 2: Buy Additional Tanks

As you begin to accumulate coins and can afford to purchase an additional tank, do it. Keep purchasing tanks and filling them with Green Snappers. The more tanks you purchase, the more Green Snapper you can purchase and the faster you will level up. One consideration will be the time you are willing to invest to level up.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, purchase as many tanks as you can. If you are strapped for time, you might want to stick with just a few tanks. I currently have 12 tanks that are solely for buying and selling Green Snapper, and it takes me about 20 minutes to fill them with Green Snapper, and another 25 to feed them and sell them after four hours. So if you only have 4 or 5 tanks, the process of filling your tanks can take around 5 minutes, while selling them will take less than 10 minutes. It all depends on your playing style and how much time you have to devote to it.

Step 3: Pay Attention To When You Will Be Able To Play

When purchasing your fish, you will want to pay attention to when you will be able to come back to your tanks. If you will not be able to play within the next 48 hours, avoid leaving any fish in your tanks. They will die if left unfed or unattended. There is an option for your friends to revive your dead fish, but asking a friend to revive 130 fish is quite a request. This would take a substantial amount of time and effort, so if you know you won't be able to take care of your fish, make sure your tanks are empty while you're away.

If you have a couple of tanks that you keep a few fish that you like, then you can probably get away with leaving them, and if they are dead when you return, you can have a friend revive them.

Another new feature recently added is the feeding bricks. You can now purchase feeding bricks to place in your tank so you do not have to come back every day to feed your fish. This can be a nice option if you will be gone for several days and you do not feel like selling your fish.
