What to Bring in a Fish Hook Park Trip
A trip to a Fish Hook Park is something that is really fun and enjoyable even to those who are not fishing enthusiasts. The experience of going there is surely fun but it could easily turn into a disaster when you are not prepared; meaning that you didn’t bring the proper equipment for the said trip.
Let’s begin with what to wear and it does not start with a fish hook necklace. Naturally a trip to the Fish Hook Park involves water and lots of it. So it is always safe to bring a change of dry clothes as no one knows when one will fall off from the boat. It’s better to have these so that you don’t need to walk around naked while waiting for your clothes to dry up. Besides the change of clothes it is wise to say that one should wear clothes that are comfortable. Wear something that has enough pockets to carry what you need at least on the boat, at the same time something that you could easily swim with while you’re wearing it. So jeans are a real no-no for Fish Hook Park trips because they get heavy when they get wear. Leather pants are no good either because they become tight when they get wet. A vest with a lot of pockets is very helpful especially for fish hooks, lures, floaters and other small fishing equipment. Lastly wear comfortable footwear like sandals or slippers unless you are planning to fish on the water and not on a boat better wear rubber boots.
Now moving on to the equipment, make sure you check first your fish hook size charts so that you’ll have the idea of what to expect from the Fish Hook Park you are going to. In this way too, you could bring the proper fish hooks and organize them in your fishing equipment box. Speaking of fish hooks, you shouldn’t bring rusty fish hooks as it poses a threat of tetanus especially to the user and the people around him or her as well. Lastly don’t forget your fish hook knots guide. Even when you have mastered the said knots it is better to bring a pocket guide so that in the event that a mental block happens you have something to consult. Never forget too to bring the things needed to cook and prepare a fish, unless you are planning to eat sashimi.
Then there are also the lures and floaters to be used when fishing. Before going to any Fish Hook Park, do a little research on the parks facilities as well as the fish that are present in it. Do this so that in any case that you can’t catch any fish you could do other activities while in that place. Also by researching about the fish in there, you could be sure what equipment is needed to be brought.
Also a very important thing in case that you didn’t catch any fish, always bring your own food. Some fishing trips could last the whole day and relying on the catch may not be a good idea especially if you have been waiting for hours, hungry and frustrated. So don’t forget to bring your own food and remember that the fish that you will catch is just a nice addition to your meal during the trip.
Here are just a few pointers in preparing a trip; it is up to you to make the most out of it. Prepare well and the trip will go well.
